Join us next week, 28th Sept to 2nd Oct, for our ‘Week of Action’ #BestStart0to19 on getting it right for all our children and young people.
#Beststart0to19 is about giving all our children and young people the best start in life. What happens in the early and developing years makes a difference to health and life chances right through life.
The week marks the formal, final stage of the transfer of commissioning of 0-5yr public health services to local authorities on 1st Oct and is a good time to celebrate what has been achieved and to look at the opportunities for locally-led, integrated public health services for children and young people
We will be posting a number of blogs on this site from a wide range of individuals (including from parents, young people, frontline professionals, local authority representatives, managers, commissioners etc) and will be showcasing good practice examples and signposting to existing resources so that future partners can develop their understanding of the real opportunities available through integrated services. We’ll be out and about visiting services, hearing from and speaking to those delivering the care and will be busily Tweeting our thoughts and some useful links.
On Tuesday, 29th Sept at 8pm we will be hosting a Twitterchat with @WeNurses and we invite you all to join the discussion. Further details available at http://www.wecommunities.org/tweet-chats/chat-details/1561
We would also love you to show your support and share your experiences by posting your own examples of the work you are doing to ‘get it right’ or why not Tweet a photo of your team or services during the week with our hashtag #BestStart0to19
We look forward to engaging and hearing from you.
