Day Four of our Week of Action – 27th February, Thursday

This short ‘blog’ is just to provide a pointer for what we have coming up today and some things you may want to book for later in the week and to reflect on some of the things that have already happened.

Today our main theme is tuberculosis. Things to look out for:

·         Blogs appearing at

o   Dr Paul Cosford, Director for Health Protection and Medical Director at Public Health England, provides an honest account of the threat from TB and what PHE is doing to meet the challenge

o   Dr Jean Christensen, DH Professional Officer for Nursing and Midwifery Care, gives a personal view on her family history and TB and what it now means for 0-19yrs care

·         Join our campaign pledge for NHS Change Day - or  Protecting Health Campaign Pledge

·         Keep your eyes on the Nursing Times (NT Link) and Nursing Standard’s (NS Link) webpages for relevant pieces

·         Join us on Twitter #NMProtectHealth – including some key facts and links on TB

Out on the road, David Foster, deputy Director of Nursing, will be at the Florence Nightingale Foundation Annual Conference.
