I am really looking forward to meeting everyone at the School and Public Health Nurses Association (SAPHNA) conference tomorrow. I am speaking on the vision for nursing and midwifery - especially from public health nursing perspective - and very interested in hearing school nurses views on the 6Cs; care, compassion, competence, communication, courage & commitment, and 6 action areas.
The School Nurses Development programme continues with pace and it is a real privilege to work with such a passionate and professional group of nurses. We have made incredible progress and will continue to raise the profile of school nurses and their key role in improving the health and well being of children and young people.
My colleague, Wendy Nicholson, will be presenting progress to date on the programme. If you are unable to attend this event, I would still like to hear your views on the developing vision for nursing so please review the resources on the 6Cs and the School Nurse Development Programme and let me have your thoughts and ideas!
